Veterinary Assistant

Love animals and want to make a difference in their lives? Huntsville Animal Clinic is on the lookout for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Huntsville, AL 35801. As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll be a key player in providing top-notch care to our furry patients and their owners.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Helping veterinarians with animal restraint during exams and procedures
2. Getting surgical instruments and equipment ready for procedures
3. Caring for small animals before, during, and after medical treatments
4. Teaching clients about proper pet care and treatment plans
5. Keeping an eye on anesthesia and patient vital signs during surgeries
6. Using fear-free techniques to keep patients comfortable
7. Performing laser therapy and assisting with surgical monitoring
8. Giving fluid therapy and helping with patient recovery
9. Using digital radiography and AVImark software for patient records
10. Doing fecal flotation tests and heartworm tests
11. Keeping kennel areas clean and helping with preventive care

Salary: $29,010.00 - $36,380.00 per year
