Veterinary Assistant

Forest Hill Animal Hospital in Germantown, TN is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing top-notch care to our furry patients and support to our veterinary staff.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians with animal restraint during examinations and procedures
• Prepare surgical equipment and assist with surgical procedures
• Provide compassionate care to small animals in our clinic
• Utilize your skills as a Registered/Certified Veterinary Technician
• Perform kennel duties and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Educate clients on proper pet care and medication administration
• Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs during procedures
• Administer laser therapy and monitor patient recovery

Job Requirements:

1. Certified Veterinary Assistant or equivalent experience
2. Experience with digital radiography 
3. Proficiency in subcutaneous fluids administration and fecal flotation
4. Knowledge of AllyDVM software is a plus
5. Ability to perform kennel cleaning duties as needed

Salary: $30,000.00 - $34,000.00 per year
