Veterinary Assistant

Riverdale Park Animal Hospital is seeking a high-energy, preferably experienced, Veterinary Assistant to join our growing practice. Our hospital serves primarily dogs and cats in the Riverdale area. Applicants must be well-spoken, motivated, responsible, and capable of giving excellent patient care and customer service. Qualified candidates will be expected to answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with hands-on patient care services. Job expectations will include but are not limited to: 1. Providing excellent client communication, 2. Restraining pets as necessary 3. Self-motivation to complete daily tasks 4. Take the initiative on the day-to-day duties without being told. 8. sanitizing/cleaning both animal enclosures and the overall facility 9. Processing payments 10. Computer/typing skills 10. Be able to stay proactive and work with little to no supervision. 11—Knowledge of basic pet care and wellness. Spanish speakers and individuals with experience in animal care in a professional setting are a significant plus. This position is full-time, with hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. RPAH is seeking serious candidates for employment for a minimum of 3 years. Hourly salary negotiable based on experience.
