Position: Practice Manager – Richmond, TX
Schedule: Full-time
Welcome to the Neighborhood!
We believe veterinary care should feel personal, never rushed. Whether it’s a patient check-in or a conversation with a pet parent, we take time to do things well. That same principle applies to how we care for our teams—because we know the best care for pets starts with investing in people.
Whether you’re a seasoned veterinary professional or an experienced leader looking to grow with a family-owned, values-driven organization, you’ll find more than a job at NVC—you’ll find a meaningful career.
About the Role: Practice Manager – Richmond Location
We’re looking for an experienced, people-first Practice Manager to lead our Richmond clinic. This role is all about connection—managing day-to-day operations, mentoring team members, creating an exceptional client experience, and working closely with our Operations team.
You’ll oversee all aspects of clinic operations, but you won’t do it alone. You’ll be supported by a stellar medical and client service team ready to help bring your vision to life.
What We’re Looking For
You’re a natural leader with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for people. You bring out the best in your team, foster a culture of accountability and care, and know how to balance heart with business sense.
Qualifications:
3+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a veterinary setting
Proven ability to lead and manage people and processes
Familiarity with veterinary terminology, operations, and workflows
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Strong financial and strategic thinking abilities
Confidence in hiring, coaching, and team development
A Day in the Life
Lead and support clinic operations, including staff management, finance, and inventory
Serve as the primary liaison between clinic staff, clients, vendors, and leadership
Develop and maintain high standards of patient care and customer service
Monitor KPIs and financial benchmark to guide operational decisions
Facilitate team meetings, staff training, and performance development
Actively contribute to marketing and community engagement efforts
Maintain a positive, solutions-focused work culture
Collaborate with the executive team to implement best practices and long-term goals
