Mount Dora Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, fast-paced, multi-doctor general practice serving the Mount Dora, FL community with pride and compassion. We provide comprehensive, high-quality veterinary care-including preventive medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, urgent care, in-house diagnostics, digital full-body and dental radiology, and medical/vacation boarding.

We are currently seeking an Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated and supportive team. This role is ideal for a technician who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working collaboratively with a team of experienced professionals, and is passionate about delivering excellent patient care.

As an experienced Veterinary Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Triage and patient restraint for exams and treatments

• Skilled sample collection and in-house laboratory diagnostics

• Anesthetic induction and monitoring

• Surgical prep and assistance, including orthopedic procedures

• Radiographic imaging (digital full-body and dental)

• Hospitalized patient care, medication administration, and treatment support

• Clear, compassionate communication with clients regarding care plans and procedures

You'll also have access to hands-on training, and the support needed to grow into advanced roles if desired.

We're looking for:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a veterinary technician in a clinical setting is required

• Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, lab diagnostics, and patient care

• Strong communication skills and a calm, team-focused attitude

• Ability to multitask in a busy environment

• A self-starter with a passion for ongoing learning and growth

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Pay Range: $18 - $24/hr dependent on experience and license status
