Certified Veterinary Technician

We are currently seeking a certified Veterinary Technician to join our esteemed team at our rural, privately owned practice. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.

Our team consists of approximately 10 dedicated individuals who collaborate closely. We are in search of a new team member who demonstrates initiative and a commitment to delivering exceptional medical care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Safely handling dogs and cats during examinations
• Dispensing prescriptions
• Facilitating Doctor/Client communication and care during appointments (including preparing vaccines and dispensing preventatives)
• Performing radiology, phlebotomy, and conducting lab work
• Assisting with reception duties as necessary
• Participating in anesthesia, dentistry, surgical monitoring, and assistance
• Caring for kenneled dogs
• Completing daily hospital cleaning tasks such as laundry and floor mopping

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in veterinary terminology, sterility, care practices, preventatives, and vaccines
• Completion of an Associates degree, Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) certification, or equivalent
