At spcaLA, our goal is to provide a comprehensive preventative and therapeutic approach to animal care. Conventional medicine, enrichment and training, as well as complementary and alternative treatments are considered and integrated for the benefit of shelter pets, who are often recovering from abuse and/or neglect.
Essential qualifications: Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM); license in good standing with California State Veterinary Board; license with Drug Enforcement Agency; 2 – 5 years practical experience as a veterinarian (shelter environment preferred). Ability to hold and maintain premise permits for a sheltering location during employment.
