About This Role
1st Pet Technician Trainer is responsible for the on-the floor training of newly hired Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants.
She/he works closely with Technician Training Coordinator and Technician Manager to evaluate, plan, and implement the location’s new hire training program for all new veterinary technicians and assistants. When not scheduled to train she/he works regular technician shifts. The position includes splitting time between working on the floor doing one-on-one training and preparing classes and materials.
About You
You are a Certified Veterinary Technician in Arizona in good standing (or RVT/LVT). You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the veterinary field, and at least 2 years working in an Emergency or Specialty Department. Previous training experience strongly preferred. You must also be interested in developing own skills in the area of education and training.
