We are looking for a second full time veterinarian for our growing small animal practice. New doctors are welcome but must be open to expanding the scope of your knowledge. Continuing education funds will be supplied and you are free to follow your own continuing education interests! Salary (with or without commission), benefits, vacation time, etc are all negotiable. Schedule is also flexible but is currently set up for each doctor to work four, ten hour days per week (9am to 7pm) with 3 days off. Two of the three days off each week would be back to back. Saturday's (9am to 2pm) alternating so each doctor works every other Saturday. Our practice is fully digital and set up so that most communication with our clients takes place through email. We are also set up for remote access to the practice management software so that doctors can work through their labwork phone calls/emails from home if they choose. We use Avimark Practice Management software with the option to use Dragon Naturally Speaking software (fully integrated) to dictate SOAP notes or transcribe full phone conversations with clients directly into their charts in an attempt to save time during COVID, curbside appointments. During this time we are scheduling appointments every 30 minutes (technician appointment every hour). Under normal circumstances (pre-COVID) we scheduled 3 appointments per hour but this is flexible based on your comfort and speed.
Our building is being fully renovated and all furniture and (more importanly) equipment will be brand new. Must be comfortable with (or willing to learn with guidance) routine surgeries such as spays, neuters, mass removals and dental procedures. Comfort with avian/exotics medicine would be a huge bonus but is not required. Most importantly, must be a team player. We prioritize the well being of our staff over all else. During COVID and the stress that it has brought to our industry we have come to really rely on and take care of each other. We do not tolerate abuse of any kind on our staff members and immediately fire clients who display this type of behavior.
