Aspen Animal Hospital has been a long-established part of the community of beautiful Aspen, CO. Our staff is hard working, dependable, and practice excellent medicine. We are looking for an experienced veterinary assistant or a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team.
Aspen Animal Hospital is a busy 3 doctor practice with tenured staff and an excellent high-end clientele. Our hospital has the juxtaposition of feeling very homey while also being fully updated. We have multiple exam rooms, a full surgery suite with anesthesia monitoring, Cubex Inventory Management machine that holds all our medications and keeps the log, and digital radiographs (both general and dental). Our team, including CVTs, is very well-trained and an integral part of what makes our hospital run so smoothly.
Our Veterinary Assistants utilize their skill set to assist our doctors in providing gold standard medical and surgical care to our patients. Responsibilities include venipuncture, catheter placement, lab sample collection, admitting and discharging surgical patients, monitoring hospitalized patients, dispensing medications as directed by veterinarians, assisting doctors in exam rooms and assisting with surgical procedures/dentals. Written and verbal communication are two important skill sets that candidate must possess. We are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude who is willing to jump in and help the team. Our ideal candidate can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Previous veterinary experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate.
