The Babinski Foundation Animal Shelter is seeking a full or part time veterinarian to perform all aspects of shelter medicine in accordance with the ASPCA standards.
The shelter veterinarian will be responsible for screening, diagnosis, and basic & emergency medical treatment and care for shelter animals. This includes, but is not limited to, high-quality and high-volume spay/neuter services, dentistry, and internal medicine as well as vaccinations of animals to prevent diseases.
Our shelter veterinary technicians will assist with procedures and protocols including, but not limited to, disease control, rounds, intake, quarantine, etc.
-Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD)
-Eligible to be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Minnesota
-Interest in progressive animal welfare and knowledge of shelter medicine
-An interest in and willingness to support the mission, vision and philosophy of The Babinski Foundation.
-Starting at $90,000 Plus Benefits Package
-Up to $5,000 Relocation Reimbursement
The Babinski Foundation Animal Shelter is a 32,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art facility located on 320 acres of wooded and groomed walking trails in Pequot Lakes, MN. We are a private, 501(c)3, No-Kill Animal Shelter. The Foundation was founded in 2010 by Donald Babinski and we celebrated our grand opening in 2017.
Our mission is to strive to ensure a safe, healthy, and loving environment that will provide temporary shelter for abandoned, stray, and surrendered animals and to find each animal a new and prosperous home.
