Seeking Associate Veterinarian for well- established practice in Bushwick, Brooklyn NY
Have you heard? The Neighborhood vet in Bushwick, Brooklyn is expanding beyond house-calls with our full service stationary clinic! Our new facility will feature 2 exam rooms, a treatment room, kennel, and separate dentistry and surgery area.
Providing compassionate, yet quality medicine and surgery, is our top priority and in order to do so we have lots of “toys” for our new hire. A partial list of our equipment includes: Heska Chemistry, CBC, and electrolyte machine, ISTAT, doppler blood pressure, Cuattro HD Xray, Biox portable dental radiography, Ultima 250 dental unit, Ellman surgical unit, and MORE! And while we do not have an onsite radiologist, we do have radiologist consultations available at all times.
About the Neighborhood Vet:
We have over 6000 kind & faithful clients, and have reached capacity with our house-call business, hence the need for stationary clinic expansion. Now all we are missing is you- a second associate veterinarian to join us!
The Neighborhood Vet is proudly privately owned by a veterinarian, Dr. Narara Loose (that’s me!). I am searching for a new associate veterinarian to help take on Bushwick together! There is practice buy-in potential too, if that is of interest.
Requirements for our new veterinarian:
You should have either internship training or 2 years of clinical experience. Please be honest, compassionate and a team-player.
What our new associate veterinarian can expect:
Since we are privately vet-owned, there is flexibility in the schedule you work and your role at our hospital. Full time, part time and individually tailored start times are available for the right person.
Do you have interest in selecting the staff you work with? I am looking for a collaborative partner to assist with hiring and managing our support staff. If you want to take over further management duties, I’d be thrilled to have you do so and we could adjust compensation for this role.
Want to get out of the clinic from time to time? As the second associate veterinarian you would be primarily working at our new stationary clinic, but if you’d like a change of scenery now and then, you can do some house-calls. The best of both worlds!
Love medicine but surgery not so much? I love surgery and would work well with a new associate who is interested in medicine over surgery. However, if you love surgery too, than there are plenty of surgical procedures to share!
Let’s talk compensation:
$80,000-95,000/year full-time + CE stipend, $2500 travel, sign on bonus, paid DEA and NY licensing, paid health (general and dental), paid vacation.
If this is sounding good to you, or if you’re intrigued but have some questions, don’t hesitate to apply and get in touch with me. I’m looking forward to meeting you!
