Our hospital needs a new Head Veterinary Technician (Team Leader). This employee would operate as a veterinary technician while also overseeing our team of four RVT’s and five assistants. The position reports to the practice manager.
Applicants must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse or equivalent (LVT / RVT / CVT / RVN).

We are AAHA accredited, Cat-Friendly certified, and nearing Fear Free Practice certification.
Pay ranges based on experience. We also offer health care, pet care discounts, retirement plan, sick leave, paid time off, and paid holidays as well as license fees and C.E. allowance.
This position is full-time 40h/wk M-Sat. This will be a mix of single shifts (7+ hrs), and double shifts (12+ hr) per day. On average technicians are scheduled 4 days a week with two to three days as double shifts.

We are a progressive AAHA small animal hospital that prides ourselves on providing high quality medicine with a reputation for compassionate care. We currently have three doctors, three technicians and a support staff of eighteen including a full-time practice manager. We use the most up-to-date techniques in diagnosing and treating small animals such as laser and laparoscopic surgery, digital X-rays (dental and whole body), ultrasound, in house labs, cold laser therapy and acupuncture. We operate as a paperless practice currently using Avimark. Our 12,450 sq. ft. facility received the 2005 Hospital Design Competition Merit Award for excellence in veterinary hospital. Our facility gives us the flexibility to continue our growth and provide the latest care for our patients and a comfortable environment for our clients and staff. In addition to small animal we also treat the animals at the local Washington Park Zoo and many of the local law enforcement agencies.
