Introduction
Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital in Baltimore, MD, seeking a dedicated Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join their highly skilled and compassionate team. This AAHA-accredited hospital has proudly served the community for more than 30 years, providing advanced care for cats, dogs, avian, and exotic pets.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time overnight role with shifts running from 7 PM to 7 AM on a two-week rotating schedule, totaling only five shifts every two weeks. This schedule allows for an excellent work-life balance with significantly fewer working days compared to the industry average. The hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week to ensure comprehensive and convenient veterinary care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Overnight Emergency Veterinarian will provide critical and emergency care across a wide caseload including cats, dogs, avian, and exotic pets. The role emphasizes high-quality emergency medicine in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This position is best suited for an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about urgent care, thrives overnight, and values working as part of a supportive and professional team.

The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment facilities and supported by in-house specialists in surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, and more. Team
The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of 13 DVMs, becoming the 14th veterinarian in this collaborative environment. The hospital also benefits from highly trained ER support staff and skilled technicians, ensuring both patients and veterinarians receive exceptional support.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
