Our client is a progressive small animal hospital in Columbus, GA, seeking a dedicated Medical Director to lead their experienced team. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, remaining closed on Sundays. This full-time position provides a structured schedule that promotes work-life balance while ensuring continuity of care for patients.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide strong leadership, mentor associate veterinarians, and collaborate closely with the hospital manager and support team to uphold the highest medical standards. Clinical responsibilities include general practice services such as wellness and preventive care, surgery, dentistry, and specialized treatments like laser therapy and orthopedic procedures. The role is best suited for an experienced veterinarian eager to guide a growing team while maintaining an active caseload and inspiring future professionals through teaching opportunities.

The hospital is a full-service veterinary facility equipped with advanced technology to deliver a wide range of medical and surgical services. Located less than an hour from Auburn, the hospital frequently hosts veterinary students, fostering a teaching-focused environment. Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
