Our client is a premier, AAHA accredited 24-hour emergency, general practice, and specialty hospital located in Pearl City, Hawaii, seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their team. Originally a general practice, the hospital has evolved into a highly respected specialty and referral center on the island of Oahu, offering advanced veterinary care to the community.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24/7. and is looking for an Emergency Veterinarian willing to work the overnight shifts.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage a diverse caseload of urgent and emergent cases while working collaboratively with a large team of specialists and general practitioners. Responsibilities include emergency and critical care, surgery, diagnostics, and patient management. The hospital promotes a team-based approach to care and values veterinarians dedicated to delivering high-quality medicine in a collaborative environment.

Practice Details
The specialty hospital includes four exam rooms, two surgical suites, a dedicated ICU, ultrasound room, and endoscopy suite. The general practice side features its own surgery suite, dental suite, 10 exam rooms, and separate treatment area. The facility is equipped with a 64-slice CT scanner, digital radiography, multiple ultrasounds, endoscopic and laparoscopic/arthroscopic equipment, telemetry, O2 cage, C-arm, in-house lab, and multi-parameter monitors. The modern, state-of-the-art hospital supports a full range of emergency, specialty, and general practice services.

Team
The hospital team includes 19 doctors, with specialists in surgery, internal medicine, and ophthalmology. The environment is highly collaborative and supportive, fostering strong teamwork across emergency, specialty, and general practice services.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
