General Practice (Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their established general practice, providing care for dogs, cats, and rabbits. The hospital has been serving the community since 1965 and offers a collaborative environment for doctors and support staff. The role is ideal for an experienced veterinarian with a passion for internal medicine, working four days a week with 12 Saturdays per month.

Working Hours / Rota
Veterinarians at the hospital work four days per week and are scheduled for one to two Saturdays per month. The hospital is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will develop strong client relationships, perform physical exams and diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures to deliver high-quality, low-stress care. Responsibilities include explaining findings and diagnoses, presenting treatment plans, and educating clients on preventative health. The role also involves maintaining accurate medical records, participating in continuing education, mentoring paraprofessional staff, and contributing to a positive and professional team environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced and enthusiastic about all aspects of general practice, particularly internal medicine.

Practice Details
The hospital is Fear Free certified and equipped with in-house laboratories, digital radiography, ultrasound, and surgical lasers. Services offered include wellness and preventive care, urgent care, ophthalmology, orthopedic and laser surgery, cardiology, ultrasound, and travel health certificates. The clinic has a strong reputation in the community and a broad caseload supported by modern diagnostics and treatment options.

Team
The veterinary team includes four DVMs working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with strong support from skilled paraprofessional staff.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so

Salary up to $180,000 (Annual)
