Veterinary hospital in Beaufort, NC is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team. From wellness exams and vaccines to advanced diagnostics and surgical procedures, animals receive high quality care at our hospital. We highly value our staff and strive to use technicians/assistants as much as possible with client and medical involvement. Technician/assistant duties would include, but are not limited to:

• Following opening/closing procedures for hospital
• Care of hospitalized patients
• Daily call backs to clients
• Restraining patients
• Assisting in taking of radiographs
• Blood draws and blood machine operations
• Giving IV & IM injections
• Dispensing drugs, including controlled drugs
• Placing IV catheters
• Performing cytologies
• Monitoring patients during surgery, i.e. anesthesia, and vitals

Candidates must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, and able to maintain a positive and professional attitude in a sometimes stressful environment. At least two years of experience is necessary.
