Job Title: veterinary receptionist, tech, or kennel help wanted Company: Location: Louisville, KY Description: Our veterinary hospital is now accepting resumes for receptionists, technicians, and kennel staff or persons who can fill multiple positions. We prefer that applicants have experience in the veterinary field. Our office is open weekdays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Technicians are expected to be capable of lifting 50 pounds, to assist veterinarians in the exam room and surgery, with x-rays, obtaining lab samples and analyzing them, filling prescriptions, administering medications, communicating with clients, to keep work area and equipment clean and well maintained, etc. Receptionists are expected to greet and wait on clients, answer the phone, schedule appointments, enter invoices into the computer and conduct financial transactions, prepare files for incoming clients, fill prescriptions, to keep work area clean and well maintained, etc. Kennel Assistants are expected to be capable of lifting 50 pounds, to bathe and comb out dogs, walk them, clean cages, wash laundry, to keep work area clean and well maintained, etc. Both technicians and kennel assistants are expected to take turn in a rotation to clean kennels and administer medications on Sundays.
