Description: Position SummaryThe person in this position under general supervision, provides
routine husbandry care for a variety of animal species in accordance with established SOP's and
protocols. Cleans and sanitizes animal cages, water bottles, sipper tubes, carts and related
equipment. The Sr. Lab Animal Tech provides routine veterinary care including daily observation of
animals to assess their health and welfare, treatments as prescribed and participation in projects
as needed. Provide specialized care in the BSL-III suite and insectory following Biosafety
procedures. Assists with transgenic breeding colony as needed.This is a full-time benefits

here. Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED; at least 3
years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities
specified.Certificate of Completion as a Laboratory Animal
Technician.Preferred QualificationsExperience: Operating and
maintaining dish or cage-washing equipment Maintaining inventory in an organized and
structured manner Working with Laboratory animals Evaluating the health and well
being of animals and environmental conditions for various speciesAbility to interact
