Kennel Assistant

Description:
The Olney-Sandy Spring Veterinary Hospital is looking for an energetic, self-motivated team player that wants to help care for our boarding guests. This would include providing room service for the guests (feeding and medicating), acting as a personal trainer (walking dogs), and maid service (housekeeping of guest quarters). Must have reliable transportation and the ability to work weekends and holidays. The hospital is open from 7:30 AM until 7:30 PM Mon, Tue, Wed, and Th. and from 7:30 AM until 6:00PM on Friday. Our Saturday hours are from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM. The kennel staff comes in Sat. evening at 6:00 PM and Sunday at 8:00 AM and again at 6:00 PM to care for the guests. Our weekend schedule is on a rotation. We are hiring for a FT position. Ideal candidate will have had 1-2 years animal handling experience in a kennel or hospital setting. They will be dependable, trustworthy and able to work without close supervision. Prior work history will be confirmed and reliable references are required. A background check will be performed. Salary commensurate with experience.
